MARSH Capabilities

MARSH’S TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES ARE EXTENSIVE, WITH MORE THAN 50 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN AIRCRAFT MODERNIZATION AND CONVERSIONS.

Marsh also works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to gain approval of these modifications, and to obtain Type Certifications (TCs) and Supplemental Type Certifications (STCs) for Marsh-designed upgrades and modifications. Marsh’s reputation for innovation and re-purposing aircraft leads to inquiries from customers seeking mission-specific options. Operational success and cost-effectiveness brings back previous customers to reconfigure their Marsh aircraft for additional utilization.

Marsh works from our 18,000 sq/ft production, hangar, and office facility on nearly four acres with flight line access at the Falcon Field Airport in Mesa.

The building is fully equipped with comprehensive backshops for welding, electrical, engine maintenance, pneudraulics, and a full machine shop with multi-axis CNC machining capabilities. Marsh’s extensive inventory of aircraft and airframes includes Grumman C-1 “Trader” and S-2 “Tracker”, North American OV-10, and the Grumman HU-16/G-111 “Albatross”.

Marsh’s Mesa location features 15 warehouses and conaxes containing more than 30,000 inventory line items to ensure prompt logistical support of our re-purposing and development projects, as well as aftermarket customer support for S-2T, OV-10 and other hard-to-find airframes. A typical Marsh Aviation Repurposing Project includes the following, though we offer customized configuration for all customers:

  • Overhauled Airframe – Total disassembly of airframes and removal of all components and accessories to bare metal. Inspection and repair of damage and corrosion and completion of “Depot-Level Plus” maintenance to return any airframe to like-new condition while assuring compliance with all applicable directives.
  • Add new Powerplants and Propellers:
    • Typical is Honeywell TPE331 direct drive – instant power lever response
    • Remarkable Single-Engine Performance
    • Low Fuel Burn and Operating Costs
    • High-performance 5-blade Propellers
  • Add new Avionics, Electronics and Electrical Systems
